What I Really Like These Chapters - 875 Words

Chapters 7 and 8 had some really good information to analyze. I really like these chapters because it gives me a little hope and direction as I’m leaving college and entering the â€Å"real world† after the spring. I learned that an organization is made up of sub groups of individuals, and if a company cannot get the small individuals to buy into the system of workplace diversity and female leadership, then there is no way that the company can accomplish this goal as a whole. Individuals must recognize the strengths of having more diversity and a more rounded opinions and decisions that are given by both a female and male standpoint. Its helps one side see problem, ideas and even employees from a different perspective that way conclusions are less likely to be biased. With recognizing that there is a need for change with diversity, individuals must make a conscience decision to do whatever it is in their power to see that change happens. Whether it’s encouragin g and supporting women who are considering leadership roles, working on their individual leadership skills so that there are more qualified candidates or speaking up to the managers in charge when they feel like there is some kind of diversity of exclusion problem that has come to their attention. I have also learned that not only do the individual employees should put in an effort to change the general makeup of what a company leader is represented as.
